NaBloPoMo

I know my posts have been lacking lately and in honor of National Blog Post Month I am resolving to be better. I will start to post things that are more meaty. Speaking of meaty, mamma Luigia never tires of questioning/mocking my vegetarianism. The other day, when the other three had cooking class, she made this eggplant lasagna-y dish.
L: [Italian] looking at it would you think there is meat or there is not meat
Me: not meat?
L: you can’t see, you’ll have to eat it and find out.
I could tell there wasn’t meat but sometimes I really do wonder if she slips it into my tortellini.

It makes me really happy when she makes roast with potatoes and carrots because it reminds me so much of home.

Today our friend Daisy came over again. I miss children a lot. I even miss being a camp counselor sometimes. And sometimes I forget I’m not a camp counselor and feel like I need to be constantly entertaining the people around me. She was wearing Virginia’s slippers (featuring disgruntled looking bulldogs) and they were far too large.
Me: do you like dogs?
D: No, I like eating
Me: eating dogs?
D: I like cats and dogs…like Schizzo, dove e Schizzo??

Everyone loves that cat. They are always either singing his praises or yelling at him for knocking things over or escaping out the front door.

There is a grand Halloween update to come, but I am waiting to get pictures from other people.

Here's what I did in honor of Halloween yesterday:
